Winner, 2019 UXDC Design Hackathon
Working with Lindsay Westcott, I won the Aquent challenge at the first UXDC Design Hackathon. During the single-day event, we redesigned the Gymnasium website and developed a persuasive presentation of our solution—all within a matter of hours.
Following the win, Gymnasium interviewed us about UX, presentation skills, career development, and strategies for succeeding in design hackathons.
In the interview, I discussed how my background evolved from front-end development into UI and UX design—and why understanding user behavior is essential to building intuitive products.
